TITANIC

December 19th 1997, the world's largest ship sets sail on screens across the world. James Cameron proves he is yet again a master filmmaker and delivers one of the highest grossing films of all time.
Jack and Rose are opposite sides of the same coin, but nothing can keep them apart after they meet aboard TITANIC. It's love at first sight as their romance blossoms before disaster strikes. Everyone knows how this voyage is going to end, but it doesn't make the journey any less exciting.
The ship couldn't withstand the force of an iceberg, their love couldn't survive the sinking, but can the movie survive time? Join us as we find out if Titanic still holds up.

Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Aly Sheedy, and Judd Nelson take us on a wild ride of redemption, understanding and love.

Predicting 2023’s Top Movies - DIHU

Hello movie lovers, due to catastrophic technical issues (crashed hard drive containing the last 5 years of work and personal photos/videos), we could not bring you the scheduled episode about The Breakfast Club. We promise that episode is coming next week though no matter what Adam has to do to make that happen.

Acca believe we are going back to 2012 to get our groove on. Becca (Anna Kendrick) is leading a group of misfit girls as they vie to become champions of collegiate acapella singing. She's joined by Chole, Aubrey, Fat Amy, and more. The only problem is, they aren't a team and going up against the defending champs, the Treblemakers, is not going to be easy. An infectious soundtrack will have you tapping your toes along to each and every beat. We all know the music is still something worth listening to and we remember every beat of the movie, but Does it Hold Up?

2022 A Year in Movies - DIHU

Hello movie lovers! We are here with a wrap up of all (most) of the moves released in 2022 that we had the pleasure/displeasure of watching. Give us a listen and we try to glimpse into the future to decide if the movies we saw this year will get a Holds Up or Doesn't Hold Up in 10 years time.
We have no idea if we will still be doing this podcast in 10 years. Adam barely knows what he's doing tomorrow. But what we can do is speculate about where these movies will be in that time. So turn us up real loud and get ready to hear us say Will Hold Up or Won't Hold Up a whole bunch of times!

1960'S CHRISTMAS CLASSICS

For the holiday weekend we bring to you a fun little episode all about some of those magical classics. From 1964 to 1970 there was a string of some very memorable holiday tv specials.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), Frosty the Snowman (1969), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966), Santa Claus is Coming To Town (1970), and A Charlie Brown Christmas (1964)
These are some of the most well known holiday themed movies and specials. We all watched them as kids and continued to do so as adults as part of tradition. We never once stopped to think if they were even good or not. We just did it because our parents showed us them as kids and we fell in love. So now, we ask ourselves Do these Hold Up?

Jake Sully joins the military to become an Avatar of the local people, the Na'vi. He was meant to get information for the military, but instead he falls for Neyteri a soon-to-be leader of her tribe. From there he decides to switch sides and become a full time Na'vi and help them fight against oppression. A love story about overcoming overwhelming odds. This movie made all the money in the world when it was released, but we want to know...does it hold up?

November 7th, 2000 is the day Jim Carrey squeezed into a skintight, hairy, green outfit to bring to life one of Dr. Seuss' magical creations. The Grinch hated Christmas and wanted to ruin it for all the Whos in Whoville after they humiliated him. So he snuck into their houses on Christmas Eve and stole everything before having a change of heart. But why does Grinch hate Christmas? What's the story behind the book and character. This movie tried to answer all the questions we had the first time we read the story or saw the animated classic. And now, we try to answer the question we probably all have, Does this movie still Hold Up?

Holiday Movie Game - DIHU

Hey everyone, it's Tuesday. You know what that means. Does it Hold Up is here with a short fun podcast for your listening pleasure. We have a little game that you could play with friends and family for the holidays. Emily and Adam picked their 10 favorite holiday movies each and then took turns asking each other to put those movies into certain situations. For example, Adam could have said to Emily that she has to replace all actors with children...then Emily would pick one of her favorite films to put into that situation. ELF (2003)

November 7, 2003 Will Ferrell makes his starring role debut as Buddy the Elf. A human that was raised in the North Pole by elves and Santa and is now in New York trying to find his real father. Buddy has never been to the human world before and has no clue how things should play out. He needs to find out who he is at the same time he is finding his real family. The laughs come a mile a minute as a grown man acts like a child in a brand new setting. Just when everything is coming together for Buddy the third act hits and it all falls apart. Now he must save Christmas and his relationships before everything he has ever known and has just discovered collapses around him. Will Buddy get the answers he's looking for?
