Does A League of Their Own hold up?

July 1st, 1992 women take over the game of baseball on the big screen. The Rockford Peaches are one of 4 teams in the newly made All American Girls Baseball league. A real league that existed for 9 seasons from 1943 to 1954. Geena Davis stars as Dottie Henson, Tom Hanks as Jimmy Duggan, and Lori Petty as Kit Keller. These characters all feel so real and when the side characters are played by Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna, you know you're in for something special. This is one of the sports movies it feels like every single person has seen at least once.

The first year of the AAGBL is historic and although the story in this is movie is fabricated, it doesn't take away from what a moment in history this was. All this story does it give us a wonderful work of non-fiction over some real world events. Is this the best sports movie of all time? Is it your favorite sports movie of all time?
